I am the proud owner of antique furniture inherited from my great great grandmother and handed down generation to generation. The furniture had been in storage for a long time and was in bad need of repair. I searched all restoration and conservation experts in the tri-state area, but none were as responsible and knowledgeable. The work performed on the first piece, a rocking chair, is nothing short of a masterful. Do not waste your time looking for \"deals\" or cheaper prices. What you get for your money will far exceed anything anyone else can, or will deliver: exceptional workmanship, a good price, on time, and with attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with A.R.S. Antiqua on two occasions. In both instances, I was enjoyed the entire process and was thrilled with the outcome. Peter and his team are skilled craftsmen who take the time to work with client to achieve a perfect end result. Peter has a fabulous aesthetic and gently guided me into making the best choices for my dresser and credenza, even creating and mailing sample finishes for me to review to ensure that I was happy with the final outcome. My friends are astonished at the beauty that A.R.S. Antiqua was able to uncover from my tired old pieces. Unfortunately, his restoration/refinishing work looks so good, that my other furniture now looks tired in comparison, which is good news for him.

Peter and his team at A.R.S Antiqua Co., did a tremendous job with refinishing and repairing my 18th Century hutch. Putting a very valuable, family heirloom in someone else\'s hands can be daunting, but I felt very comfortable after meeting Peter and reviewing his work on this website. I am extremely pleased and would recommend them in a minute. Their high quality workmanship, professionalism and punctual scheduling made working with them easy and comforting. Being in a high-end contracting field myself, it is a pleasure to find reputable firms that are committed to doing what they say they are going to do. All work was completed in the same time-frame as originally explained and the quality was exactly what I expected. (and I\'m pretty particular about quality and details) Upon meeting Peter, I felt his enthusiasm and appreciation for the piece which made me comfortable and excited to have found someone who loves their work. Peter and his team scheduled the pickup in a precise 30 minute time-table:(unlike the cable guy\'s time-frame of 9AM-6PM) these guys are on the ball. Their delivery and re-installation was exactly the same- quick, clean and neat. For the quality of work they produce, I find their prices extremely reasonable and it was certainly money well spent. I strongly recommend Peter and A.R.S Antiqua to all who are looking to have their cherished furniture pieces restored and repaired. Rich Hiler

Peter, I cannot thank you enough for the superior job you and your team did restoring/refinishing my mid-century credenza. Actually, you did more than restore – you enhanced the piece in such a manner that I’m sure it never looked better, even when new. You did a great job interpreting my decidedly novice attempts to describe the finish I was looking for and your assistance in selecting the best stain color for the wood-grain was invaluable. It was fun working with you and I look forward to the possibility of doing so again in the future.

Hi Peter, I just wanted you to know that my client is THRILLED with the work you did on her bed! Everyone told us the damage done during moving was irreparable, and she was ready to ditch her beautiful antique bed for a new one. Every person I brought in said it was beyond hope, but you made it solid and perfect again. She is so happy, she emails every day to thank me - - - and you.
