| Water gilding is one of the finest and most time consuming mirror frame finish that we offer to our clients. The work is very labor intensive but extremely pleasing. This project required chemical removal of old finish, frame preparation, applying new gesso, clay and 23K gold, burnishing and finishing. |

Large mirror. This frame was originaly gilded in 23K gold and burnished in the detail areas. It has been gold painted and touched up many times to keep it somewhat in shape. We chemically removed the paint, exposed old background and re-leafed the frame.
